a homely weekend - 31-Oct - 01-Nov-2009

And so it's the Halloween weekend. Bet most, if not everyone, most properly will be out partying away, or attending Halloween parties, will all customes, masks, drinks and music.

However, as we've sorta "celebrated" our halloween about 2 weeks ago, therefore, this weekend, we decided to be good and stay at home.

And of course, staying home once again, meant that the Princess get to have a good homely meal! :)

By non other than the Prince himself of course. :)

Prince wanted to try out a dish which one of our colleague had taught him in office - Sesame Beef

Of course not forgetting the main flavouring - Sesame Oil :)

Mixing the beef and sesame oil

And of course as we love soups, therefore we've having ABC soup once again. (Easiest to make soup. *SLURPS*)

And of course I helped out too! :D

(Conversation exchanged happened within 5 mins)

Prince (unconvinced look): Can you manage ?
Me: Yes, I took home econs before. I’ve got A1 too!
Prince: Do you want to go watch the TV first ? Leave it to me.
Me (grunting): I can. I want to help!
Prince: Want to go watch TV first ?
Me: I can!!!! I can!!!!
Prince: Watch TV first ?

*CHOP* and the knife got stuck in between the carrot. And a few more hits of the carrot against the chopping board with the knife still totally refusing to budge or anything, and one last big strong hit and *BAM!*

And the carrot fell straight into the dustbin which was placed at the bottom next to the sink.

Me: Opps
Prince: Ok, I rest my case. Haiz….
Me: It’s not me! It’s the knife that’s not sharp!

And after dinner, it's setting up of the Christmas tree!! As this is my VERY first time stting up a Christmas tree, I was sooooo super EXCITED!! :D

Prince's sister helped too! :)
You know, I took this photo for a momento as, you know I've always seen and experienced a very loving siblings brother and sister love for each other, whenever I look / saw the both of them together. :)

And TAAAA-DAAAA~~~~~~~~~

I helped too!!!!!!!! :D *Proud* :)

And as it was halloween night, they showed a few hours of Simspons on cable! And we watched all the way till about 1am or so before hitting the hay.

And woke up quite early the next morning, and we went to do grocery shopping again, as I want to have a home-cooked meal once more. *Slurps*

Our tea-break for the afternoon. My FAVOURITE TOP-SHELL!! *Slurps x 10* and sour and spicy soup (I cooked it as it's my forte in cooking instant stuffs. And in this sense, the soup. ;)) And of course I did (totally NON-instant) mixed fruit salad. Fruits (pear and apple) with BlueBerry Yougurt. :) Healthy ah. :) Oh yes, and next to it, not forgetting both of our favourite chilli! *Slurps!!*

Preparation of our dinner for that evening

The beef and the pork

Mashed potato and carrot (Prince said it was his specialty mashed)

Prince's sister helped to set up the table, ok at the coffee table, need to watch the news you see. We need to know how much the shares are, the current condition of the world is coming to and etc....
TAAA-DAAAA~~~~~~~~~~ (Ok I just realised that I really like to use this word. Haha....)

A bigger pic to show our dinner for the evening. It's YUMMY!!!! *Slurps*

And of course I helped to wash the dishes. :) (What's new anyway. >p)

houses

And so, Rev and I were having one of our daily work-day-afternoon tea break, and we were chatting and calculating about the costs of houses.
And guess what? Both of us nearly Flipped! After we calculated the savings which one pax had to save per month. (Ok look, we’re not getting a house together. We’re just calculating for each other. Hello, don’t think I do not know what you guys are thinking. Tsk Tsk, what’s on your mind!)

And so anyway, it’s sure is a huge sum of saving which we had to save per month, as both parties are looking at about 2 year time frame (2 year for her, while about 1.5year left for me). And guess what, none of us had done any savings yet! Yup you got it. Totally ZERO! Argh!
And so, we were talking about our parents houses and how much the reselling price will be and etc. And we even calculated the different type of houses. From 2nd resale of HDB (mansion-net – is this how you spelled it?), to condo and also the different locations for it.

We each have our own tricky situations. Hers will be more on the pricing wise (as in is it worth it), whereas mine is cause we have a targeted area which we want / have in mind. Sigh. Though it sound simply nice and fun while planning on your own houses. But when it comes to actual calculating the costs of the house alone, and with such a tight time frame, its just…. Sniff…. Let’s just say that we might be eating on bread and water if we’re lucky.

But then we’ll be keeping each other update on the research which we had done, as it turned out that we’re both keeping a lookout.  Such a lovely surprise isn’t it. 

Oh yes, and did I tell you that we have yet to calculated the renovations costs yet! ARGH! Let’s just pray for us ok?
