Growing up to be a grown up..

Felt very grown up this morning, as I not only wokeup early this morning feeling fresh but I decided to have a good breakfast to pamper myself and have some "Me" time too. :)

I had a grown up hearty healthy breakfast with grown up drink (coffee) all by myself on a Sunday morning! :)

I was feeling so proud of myself when all of a sudden............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

I realized I'm already an adult! And had been for the past few years!!

Sian~~

Nearly dragged, or rather CRAWL to work this morning.

Totally not in the mood to work, and simply that today's already Wednesday, mid-week, but still I'm not motivated to work today. Just want to slack at home with Prince and finish up our show. And that's the exact the though that Prince had too.

But sadly that's not the case, and we can't just don't go work. Cause:

1st) we still need the job
2nd) Prince got a con call tonight, and of the girls is on MC today.

In short, die die got to go to work. Sigh~~

This is the case when you got a super long weekend. :_(

Apperantly this post / song got totally nothing to do much with other thing, just that I will freaking survive through work for 2 more days!!!! It had been (or so it seem to be) a long week to me. :_(

Disney Marathon

Growing up with Disney cartoons and have had always been in love with it, therefore I took the time of during QE (my current team's only free during this period, or rather last week of Dec for this QE) to catch up or rather to have another go of my childhood cartoon movies and of course my childhood memories. :)

And in sequence of the movies that had been watched during the week:

三菜一汤 - 09-Jan-2010

Ok so it's not really 三菜一汤, but it's 二菜一汤啦.

Started off with Prince saying: "Hey we'll have to settle dinner on our own cause daddy went out so there's no dinner. So would you want to order back or cooked ?"

Now you know how we ended up with self-cooked. :) Cause frankly, I adore home-cooked meals more than anything, and also I've rarely have home-cooked meals anymore, unless I'm over at Prince's place. Therefore how can I ever missed up on a chance of home-cooked meal!!?? NEVER!! :)

And best, I get to choose what I want to eat, when Prince is cooking. ;)

Ok it's pretty obvious that I don't. Haha. I only sir-fried the veggies about 2-3 times just right before it's ready.

Hey but I helped with the preparations of the food ok!! I helped to put the sotong into the boiling water while Prince's stir-frying the veggies.

And did I mentioned that I washed up the veggies ?? *Proud*

Menu:
Instant soup (Cause we were lazy to do up the real thing, besides it's just the 2 of us) - cooked by the Princess

Stir-Fried Veggies - Veggies Prepared by the Princess, and stir-fried by the Prince

Sontong - Washed, prepared, cut by the Prince, whereas the Princess only helped to put it into the boiling pot, AFTER Prince confirmed and assured that there's no fishy smell from this sontong (Cause I really cannot stand fishy smell since young. >P *yuck!*)

And of course, our (ok MY) favourite TOPSHELL (we had another new (old) brand and I decided to get this brand from now on, so much better *SLURPS!!*) and our favourite Chilli!!!!

It's so niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..................... I simply adore home-cooked meal!! SLURPS!! *and of course especially by Prince. :) )

我是一个幸福的女孩.... :)

And of course, I led the dishes to a good'o bath after that, ALL BY MYSELF!! :)

PS: You know, that char bo was so afraid that I'll teared at her wedding and kept reminding me that she won't have tissues with her, and guess what, ended up SHE's the one who teared!! ;) Haha.. gotcha!! For goodness sake, have you ever even seen me shead a tear, or even holding back my tears all these years of knowing me ? *tsk tsk* :)

PS: You know, I was so so nervous for my Emcee part, as there was totally no pre-rehearsal for it and we only got the script the night before.


I was so nervous that during the one and only rehearsal (which was during the R&R meeting) that I not only pronounced the names wrongly, but I also kept mixing up all the arrangement of words! It was so bad at one point that, the brothers of WeiMin said “Someone get her a wine please” Haha.


Back at the room, just before the dinner I was having difficulty pronouncing and remember Danica's mommy's name, that I kept talking non-stop about no-idea-what-the-crap-I-was-saying (I can’t even remember about it now, only about Danica’s mom’s name) that I kept making Danica laughed non-stop, therefore the above pics of her can explain why she look so relax and happy.


In short, I was so much MORE NERVOUS than the bride herself. That I kept asking her “告诉我这到底是谁再结婚啊!!谁才是新娘啊!!为什么我比新娘还紧张!!??” And she kept laughing non-stop. Sniff. Haha..

PS:I tell you, the shark fins is the BEST that both Prince and I had ever tasted, despite we've each gone to our fair share of our friends and colleagues wedding dinners. It's super thick and there're tons of shark fins!! *SLURPS!!*

Due to I wasn't feeling well that day, therefore I didn't attended. :( However she still gave me her wedding favour!!

It's from one of my favourite sweet store! And I simply adore their sweets! :)

PS: Time really does flies. I remember very clearly how we just started our this current new team, and Michelle just got ROM-ed and the things were not confirmed for her wedding dinner yet. But now, it's all over. And of course, we knew quite a number of the preparations, cause she was sharing with us throughout the year. Felt sorta involved in it. I remember we were both caluating the pricing of the sweets. :) Hehe.

Christmas Presents Preparation (Part 2) - Families and Gift Exhanges

Due to a really busy December, with all the wedding bells in the air ringing, and tons of work to be completed and done for office, therefore I've sorta no choice, but to bring all my gifts to office to gift wrap all of it.

Cause you see, I am one person who simply ADORE to the max of gift wrapping, therefore I don't let / like others to gift wrap for me, and like to do it on my own. :)

The presents (which was broken down to about 2-3 trips to get all of it down to office)

Oh yes did I mentioned that Prince's present had finally arrived at the beginning of the week (Monday)? :)

I was getting worried that the present won't arrive in time. *Whew~~*

Ok, and now back to "spotting the presents". Here's the answers. Did you get it all correct? ;)

Presents for Prince's family (therefore these can be placed on the outside, from both Prince and I)

Presents for the office darlings and also for the gift exchanges (both Prince and mine) under the desk next to my desk drawer

Hehe, you will have never guessed it right?? ;) Prince's present is really well hidden under my desk AND under the heels I've placed it in office. ;)

The wrapping sections of the gifts~~~~

This year, I've gone for the "parcel-looking" wrapping style. :)

Initially I've thought that I'll have to personally draw the "stamps" out myself, and guess what I realise when I took out my wrapping papers? I've totally forgot that I've bought a "stamp" design wrapping paper!!

I really adore this wrapping paper! Very nice!! Actually I didn't thought of what wrapping style to go for this year yet when I bought the wrappers, and just a coincidence isn't it? :)

Pretty isn't it. :)

And like I say, I take pride when I wrap up my gifts, therefore there're more to just simply pasting and taping the paper together. No no....of course not....

Here, I've cut out the "stamps" from the wrapper. And if you're notice, as the stamps are over lapping each other, therefore I have to choose each of the stamps carefully, the ones which did not get / have any corners covered and also according to the size of the each presents.

And this is how my desk looks like after all the presents had been wrapped, and with some gifts from office darlings. :) But doesn't seems to have much difference though. But I find it rather cozy. :)

2) You know, seems like I'm not the only one who got to gift wrap all the presents in office this year, other than Michelle, who's wrapping in office, guess who else is busy wrapping in office too?? ;)

Yuppies, CBO side is doing the same thing too! Well it's their QE on their side which happens to fall on Christmas period too.

These are the few other people whom I saw:

- Daph
- Sharon Wong
- Uma - (my ex-boss, Prince's boss, yes those of you who don't know, Prince and I used to be team mates), had so many gifts to wrap that she screamed for help!! Therefore Sharon Wong (too many Sharons in our office) helped out.
- KC - (and of course KC called me early in the morning on the 24th to ask if I have wrapping paper, and I told him yes at my side "wrapping desk" and due to I wasn't in office yet, therefore I asked him to look for Michelle, and guess what, he gave the very pitiful to Mich saying "but I don't know how to wrap". (-.-") But than again this isn't something new, I'm the one who had been helping him gift wrapped his gift exchanges for the past few years. Haha)

Oooooo and here's one pic which we "forced" ask actually Uma to post. Very cute!! :D
